Luzia, what would you do?A while back a client came by the store needing a "quick fix with longevity" for her newly acquired pied-à-terre in Zurich, meaning she wanted the interior to stand the test of time both in the sense of quality, but also timelessness. With this in mind, we set about searching for suiting pieces that we had here or that were in stock at our suppliers. With this example, we asked Luzia: What would you do, now that summer is here and delivery delays are longer than usual? "I browse through the showroom, dive into the holm° sale, and look for something suitable. If I find fitting items for my client, they can be delivered to their new home in a matter of days. If I'm still missing something, I turn to the Quick Ship programs that several of our manufacturers offer. These items can then be delivered in about 1-3 weeks, depending on the supplier." For a fictitious customer, Luzia has developed two solutions for a dining room and two for a living room, which consist exclusively of showroom items. This means that the customer can have a finished interior within a few days. The two solutions are very harmonious and yet different. |
Dining room 1The first dining room is somewhat subdued and combines a white dining table by Asplund with the well-known Wishbone chairs CH24 by Carl Hansen in different colors. These are complemented with a shelf from Montana in a rich, vibrant shade of green and a funky and modern pendant light from Wästberg. This makes the combination fresh and creates an exciting contrast with colourful accents. The final look is underlined with an exceptional art photo in a beautiful frame. |
Dining room 2The second combination is based on typical Scandinavian materials such as wool and wood, which is also an exciting yet cosy option. With a wooden table by Nikari, its matching bench, and the 8000 series chairs by Magnus Olesen in different colours, a feel-good, harmonious, and refreshing atmosphere is created. The white colour in the pendant lamp by Wästberg is picked up in the sideboard "Frame" by Asplund, creating a unified mood. The beautiful wool carpet from Kasthall not only serves the acoustics in particular but also brings colour into the room and creates a zoning of the area. And just because the portable lamps from &Tradition are screaming at us from the shelves, one of them is added as well to add even more ambiance and colour. The beautiful art photo from Iceland makes this a place you can spend a lot of time in. |
Livingroom 1This combination has a Scandinavian "coolness" to it, with its subtle but repetitive blue tones in combination with oak. The simple shapes of the Royal System by DK3 have a lightness to them that is grounded in combination with the exceedingly comfortable Calmo Sofa and pretty side table by Fredericia Furniture. To add a bit of tension to the whole picture, the graphic, patterned carpet, the black geometric armchair Rose and the colour accent in the yellow chair from the 80s by Magnus Olesen are introduced. Final accents are an unexpected wall light as well as a pendant from Wästberg. |
Livingroom 2The second combination is "sweet and spicy" at the same time. The bright textiles together with the fine wooden elements, are a refreshing combination for everyone. The EJ280 sofa together with the magazine table from Fredericia Furniture is the perfect place to relax after an intensive day at work and together with the GE240 armchair from Getama and an adjustable side table from Fritz Hansen, we create an ideal situation for long conversations. To make the whole room a bit more individual and sophisticated, we add patterns in a carpet, a design classic with the FK 100 sideboard from Lange Productions, and a strong colour play of pink and red. A quirky pendant finishes the whole thing off. Like this, the space becomes a real eye-catcher. |
