The Egg Chair in new fabric Vanir by Raf Simons
150 years ago, Fritz Hansen was a humble workshop in Christianshavn. Today, the company is a world-renowned brand thanks to iconic designs by names such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjærholm as well as design destinations like the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen.

Special Anniversary editions
To mark the 150th anniversary, Fritz Hansen hand-picked the above-mentioned products to be released in unique and exclusive editions.
Together with its suppliers, the company selected a new colour, “chestnut” in the exclusive Grace leather quality and a brand-new textile by Raf Simons. The Egg and Swan chair bases have also received a novel and very durable black PVD coating, which is previously known from the exclusive watch industry.
The PK61 table can finally be ordered with a Norwegian marble, that is very close to the original and sadly no longer available Porsgrunn marble. This time around, the marble is sourced from Fauske above the polar circle.
The Egg Table with the Ant chair
In addition, Fritz Hansen also took the opportunity to pluck three further products out of the archives to be released.
We are very pleased to introduce the gorgeous Egg table in walnut. The Egg table was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1952 to complement his Ant chair. The elliptical design today makes for an informal dining setting or elegant home office desk thanks to its beautifully versatile form and expertly crafted materials.
Later this fall, we will also welcome two relatively unknown pieces by Poul Kjærholm: the sculptural PK0 chair with the accompanying glass table PK60. Keep in touch and we'll keep you posted.
