Stool 60: Kontrasti anniversary edition
ArtekAlvar Aalto's Stool 60 celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2023 – an extraordinary milestone for a humble wooden stool, which remains in continuous production since 1933! Stool 60 Kontrasti, an anniversary edition, highlights the unique solid wood bending techniques pioneered by Alvar Aalto in 1933. Thermally treated birch veneer in a contrasting hue is used in the bend of the legs to enhance the beauty of this great innovation. The same darker veneer strips reappear in the seat top, emphasizing the economic use of wood offcuts from the legs in the construction of the seat. holm° has the anniversary edition Kontrasti in stock, either already mounted or in a flat pack carry-away packaging for CHF 318. |
